Increasingly over the last few years Pioneer Wound Healing and Lymphoedema Centre has received emails and calls from patients and their families, at times in distress with their non-healing wounds or uncontrolled lymphoedema. These patients have contacted us from all across the UK and unfortunately have been unable to access the specialist care at Pioneer.
In response to this, our team at Pioneer have been working hard to develop a private wing in our organisation and are delighted to announce that we will be able to accept self-referring patients in our established centres in Eastbourne and Horsham this month (May 2024) and also in our new centres in Norfolk and Birmingham in Summer 2024. From October 2024 we will also be opening our newest and largest centre of excellence in Crawley!
Patients who have been previously unable to access our services will be able to self-refer and self-fund paying the same rate as the NHS.
In our new locations we will be creating the option for the local NHS providers to access our Multi-Disciplinary Team via Complex Case Review process, more information on this to follow.
We look forward to being able to provide wound and lymphoedema support to patients from out with our existing NHS work and are very grateful to all our colleagues who have worked tirelessly to create this new private wing of our organisation.
